How would you describe it your investment property that you have listed on Guested?
My 1-bedroom property is modern, spacious, with a large outdoor terrace and has been tastefully decorated with love and thought. We have put a lot of effort into this home and appreciate the fact that our guests are enjoying staying there.
As it’s situated in Braddon, guests can enjoy the most lively and trendy part of Canberra with all available services only a short walk away.
Why did you first purchase your property at 10 Lonsdale Street, Braddon?
We were looking to make an investment and grasped this opportunity straight away. Braddon is one of the best places to live in. It was an off the plan purchase through Independent Property Group, with an attractive location, offering a spacious unit with generous inclusions and a floor plan layout that worked very well. The development also included a roof top outdoor living terrace, a barbeque area with a community vegetable garden and underground secure parking.
What made you consider short stay for your property?
The higher returns were the original idea that attracted me to this model, but we also wanted the flexibility to use the property whenever my friends and family visit Canberra. This short stay rental model was the only way we could have both and Guested was the best solution.
What was the process for getting your property ready for short stay?
Setting up a property is always something that will take some time and at some cost but as soon as we handed over our property to Guested everything became seamless and super easy!
How have you found the service from Guested?
The team there have been exceptional! We always get a timely response, and they always make sure our guests are happy and that they have everything they need to make their stay comfortable and easy. We are already achieving our main goal of having repeat guests.
What are the benefits of short stay to you personally?
The returns are higher than when the property was leased long term, and above initial expectations. We have access to a bookings dashboard and we can actually see the property’s performance in real time. The ability to use the property ourselves is also fantastic, we are literally getting the most out of our investment property.
Would you recommend this to other property owners?
Without a doubt! Short term rentals are the most effective and easy way to make a good income and Guested are the most reliable and helpful team we have ever come across.
Why do you think short stay is a good option for homeowners?
Well, short stay combines two very important things. The first is that an investor can potentially make a significant amount of money every month. The second is the ability to use the property any time; that is simply a bonus that other short stays do not offer. It’s like we own a little hotel that we can book out anytime we want and everything is taken care for us. Housekeeping, fresh linen and maintenance, all done professionally!
What are your future property goals?
I plan on bringing on more of my properties to Guested and enjoying more of these financial benefits!
